During 2009, our organization began the process of acquiring a piece of steel from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's WTC artifacts program.

All the necessary paperwork was approved, and on May 25, 2011, President Bob Burns travelled into New York City to take possession of the piece steel that will become part of our Fallen Firefighter's Memorial. The trip would not have been possible without the help of Kiely Equipment and their trailer.

On May 20, 2012, the steel was moved to 333 E Ridgewood Ave, Galloway Township, NJ and put on display in front of the Firefighter's Museum of Southern New Jersey. We would like to thank Whitey & Joy Swartz for all their work giving the steel a temporary home.

We'd also like to thank Bayview Fire and the Knights of the Inferno for escorting the steel, and Kiely Construction for transporting the steel to it's new location, and setting it in place.
